Aprilias make the fastest 50cc scooters available, and they come with all the good stuff like big brakes, electronic dash, fuel injection etc. The best thing is you only need a car licence to ride them. I have had it to 93kmh so far on a slight downhill and can get 85kmh an hour easily on straight lines. Not bad for a scooter that came out stock at 70kmh.

Yeah it's a bit scary. The reason i brought it was for work and it's great for the 20km round trip every day. Most i usually get it up to is 60 to 80kmh depending on the way i take to work. But it's so damn cheap to run. Cost me $3 in petrol last week Very Happy

Thats why i brought it. The Kombidoor costs me $80 per week to run plus anything that needs replacement/repairs. The scooter costs me about $6-7 per tank of fuel and nothing breaks down on it. And if it does costs stuff all to fix. And i'm not paranoid all day someone is goin to knock it off cause i can park it in the basement car park here at Austar. You have to be here 8-10 years to earn a car spot but they have heaps of motorbike spots available. When i drive my commodore i have to park it at the Robina shopping centre with trolleys and all that crap!

Yeah too many theives in shopping centre car parks. Some a$$hole ran into my mate Troy's (Purenoyz on here) VZ Klubby the other week and drove off without leaving a note. It happens all the time and then bloody trolleys roll into them etc etc. Last time i parked at a shopping centre some idiot parked next to me and opened their door straight into my car (lucky it was the magna as it has vinyl bumbers on the doors). They looked around and then walked off not realising i saw the whole thing and then denied doing it when i confronted them straight away. Evil or Very Mad

it would shut down the car and then tell me where it was.

it was in there when i brought the car took me like 4months to figure out how to use it.. i did it once testin it out.. and for the safety reasons of it when you did it you need to ring the alarm company and get a code to put in..

back on topic tho.. if you want to ask me a question bout it kane we'll take it to spam haha we'v spammed this thread up abit

Arrrrgh today some dumb ass in a truck didn't have his load tied down properly and as he drove past the opposite way i copped a showering of 5 cent piece to golf ball sized stones!!!! Faaaaaaar.........k!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

All i could hear was clunk smash bang etc. Peak hour traffic and couldn't turn around and chase him but after an hour off looking i was sure i found him, same type of truck, same colour, same load cover colour. He denies even bring in the area despite the fact i located him less than 1km fromwhere this all happened at a building site loading up. Yet when confronted about where he was then 1 hour prior he couldn't come up with an answer for where he was even when i asked him over and over for about a minute. I bloody know it was him and can't prove it as my passenger and i didn't get a number plate as it happened so quick. So have been to the panel beaters and the whole front bar needs a respray and repair, the slight chips on the bonnet can wait a few months as the front bar copped 90% of them.

Soooooo pi$$ed off right now!

Oh and the front bar is costing me $350 for the respray.

It's booked in for the 7th of April and i pick it up on the 11th. I'm pretty peeved about it as you could imagine. The money i have to spend on this I was going to spend on a gearbox service next week and hopefully get out to WIllowbank. I'm not driving it until i need to get it fixed now as i dont want something else to happen to it outside of my control. There is also a slight dint in the passenger door which they are popping out for $50. And this is what i get for helping out a workmate as her gearbox blew up on monday and only reason i was driving my car is becasue i was giving her a lift to work. Otherwise i would have been going a different road and on my scooter!

Post by smokiebbear Fri Mar 21, 2008 9:38 am

Well i decided to go to Willowbank tonight (spur of the moment). Track temp was around 30C all night so the times were suffering bad for everyone. Anyhow i managed 3 runs at 13.4 with 2.1 second 60 footers. Tyres were at 38psi and car was full weight even had 3/4 tank of fuel. This was my first time out at the drags so i was just being really cautious. All 3 runs that resulted in 13.4@106-107mph were just from idle punching it off the line. One run i did have it at 1800rpm for launch with no burnout before the run and i was absolutely sideways at half track. That resulted in a 14.9:( haha.... Anyhow next time out i will be runnin 20 psi in the rears and only have 1/4 tank fuel and i will also be stalling it up to around 1600 rpm (as still stock 1800rpm converter) and i should be able to get a high 12 if i can improve on my terrible 60 foot times. Couple more months with colder weather and i ahould be in the high 12's easily once i get used to it. Here are vids of 2 runs ..... Yes i stuffed up my stage in the 2nd one. As said first time out tonight ....

See the wheelspin from the line .... scary stuff ... the camera doesn't give a true indication of how sideways i was.

Smokiebbear's VX SS II Hyper Yellow - Page 2 Th_willowbankanddanspodsetup056

Second on is a me against a ute.

Smokiebbear's VX SS II Hyper Yellow - Page 2 Th_willowbankanddanspodsetup059

I won 3 of 4 races tonight and only lost the other due to excessive wheelspin etc etc.

I will post a few more videos tomorrow

I think the links open in a different window otherwise i will just put up the direct link when i get home as i'm at work again and can't access photobucket. yeah 13.4 is good for first out seeing as i didn't stall it up at all and running full street trim. Will see an easy 12 when the temps come down and i set up the car to race with less fuel in the tank and 20 psi in the rears. I need to get my 60 footers down to about 1.8 but trying to stall it up last night with 38psi in the rears resulted in the sideways till half track effort and a 2.559 second 60ft Sad As it was a spur of the moment thing we just rocked up and joined the line up for the track. Didn't think to change tyre psi etc. After the first race we decided to leave the full street setup and see what it was capable of as an everyday driver. Had the weather been better (cooler) i should have seen a 13.1 at least with that setup. Next time though it's game on ......
